Galaxy Z Flip 5 is future-proof with Wi-Fi 6E compatibility

Samsung was among the first device manufacturers to add support for Wi-Fi 6 when it became the leading standard. It eventually adopted the subsequent standard, Wi-Fi 6E. The Galaxy S21 Ultra was actually the first smartphone in the world to support Wi-Fi 6E. Since then, the list of Samsung phones that support Wi-Fi 6E has continued to grow.

Compared to Wi-Fi 6, the Wi-Fi 6E standard delivers faster wireless speeds and reduces latencies while adding support for the 6GHz spectrum. This allows for speeds in excess of 1Gbps. The lower latencies mean smoother video calls and seamless online gameplay.

The Galaxy Z Flip 5 is the first clamshell foldable smartphone in Samsung’s portfolio that brings support for Wi-Fi 6E. It’s a great, future-proof functionality of this device as it will take a few years for Wi-Fi 6E connectivity equipment to become commonplace.

By equipping the device with support for this technology, Samsung has ensured that customers who buy the Galaxy Z Flip 5 now will be able to take full advantage of the power of Wi-Fi 6E as and when it becomes available to them.
