You can still register for Back 4 Blood’s closed alpha this weekend
Developer Turtle Rock Studios released a new trailer to its upcoming Left 4 Dead spiritual successor Back 4 Blood. It gives players a tease for what they could expect going into the closed alpha, which goes live on Dec. 17 and runs until Dec. 21.
The new trailer gives fans a first look at the zombie horde, called the Ridden, zombie hunters known as Cleaners, and the in-game card system.
Officially announced that this year’s Game Awards, Back 4 Blood comes from the team at Turtle Rock Studios, which made Evolve and includes some of the people involved in the popular zombie shooter Left 4 Dead from Valve. It teams up four players who must battle against the Ridden. Each Cleaner has their own special abilities and personality, as well as the Ridden. Like Left 4 Dead before it, Back 4 Blood promises a different experience with each playthrough.
Unique to Back 4 Blood is the card system. Players can use the cards to make the game more challenging or customize the experience to their liking. This includes controlling the size of the hordes, the level of fog, or even limiting ammo.
