Samsung first showcased the Odyssey Neo G8 monitor at the CES 2022 trade show earlier this year. The Neo G8 is the world’s first 4K 240Hz gaming monitor. The company didn’t confirm pricing and availability at that time. It did hint a few days ago that the monitor would go on sale soon.
The company has officially confirmed the pricing and availability details for the Odyssey Neo G8. As you might have expected, it’s a bit expensive, but if you reserve one today from Samsung.com you can save $50 on it.

The Odyssey Neo G8 is nothing short of impressive. It has a MiniLED display panel that provides up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. This monitor has a 1000R curvature, a 240Hz refresh rate, 1ms grey-to-grey response time and a 1,000,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and NVIDIA G-Sync so you can experience variable refresh rates with GPUs from both manufacturers.
Samsung confirmed today that the Odyssey Neo G8 will be available for purchase starting June 6, 2022. It costs $1,499. If you head over to Samsung.com to reserve the monitor, you can save $50 on your purchase.
“Reserving” the product means that you’ll receive an email about when you can buy the monitor. If you reserve today, you’ll get an email on June 6 with an exclusive link to purchase the Odyssey Neo G6 gaming monitor with the $50 credit already applied.
$50 might seem like a drop in the bucket but given the price tag of this beast of a monitor, some savings are certainly better than no savings.
