Xperia 10 II in teardown video

We have only seen Sony’s Xperia 10 II (Mark 2) super mid-ranger launch in a few regions so far, but if you’re one of those waiting for the handset, you might want to check out this disassembly video to appreciate how well made the device is.

The teardown shows most parts of the phones including the battery, motherboard, headphone jack, cameras, Qualcomm chipset, charger port and vibration motor. The guide shows how relatively easy it is to change the battery, at least compared to many modern devices.

Interestingly, Sony is not using any copper pipes/heat sinks on the device, but manages heat through using a couple of thermal pads on the frame underneath the motherboard, which transfers heat to the aluminium mid-frame. You can check out the full video below.

The Xperia 10 II has a 6-inch 21:9 OLED display with FHD resolution (1080 x 2520) and Corning Gorilla Glass 6. The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 chipset, 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage with microSD memory card support. Other features include a triple camera setup, IP65/68 water resistance, a 3600mAh battery and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
