Xperia 1 II and Xperia 10 series get August 2020 security patches

Sony has updated a few handsets recently including the Xperia 1 II (Mark 2) flagship which sees its build number move from 58.0.A.3.88 to version 58.0.A.3.132, and incudes the August 2020 Android security patches.

Last year’s mid-range Xperia 10 and 10 Plus devices also have the August 2020 patches, with new build number 53.1.A.3.57. Strangely, the Xperia 10 II (Mark 2) remains on July 2020 patches for now, but we imagine an update is around the corner.

Older Xperia phones that saw an update over the last week include the Xperia L3 that saw security patches move from April 2020 to July 2020 with build number 54.0.A.6.50. The Xperia XA2 Plus has also seen July 2020 security patches with build number 50.2.A.3.65, however its sibling devices (XA2 and XA2 Ultra) have not been updated and remain on version 50.2.A.3.55 with April 2020 patches.
