Xiaomi confirms global launch event for 4 October – and we’re expecting to see the Smart Band 7 Pro
Xiaomi has confirmed the date of its next launch event – and it’s one we expect to see the global edition of the Smart Band 7 Pro announced.
The company has teased the arrival of its latest handset at a special event on 4 October via Twitter, and, following on from the smartwatch/fitness tracker hybrid’s launch in China back in July, it’s very likely we now see it progress to a global rollout.
Just when exactly this will actually happen, of course, remains to be seen – as do the price details for different regions – but the signs certainly point to its arrival before the festive period.

And, naturally, we already know all the key specs and features.
Designed to act like much more of a smartwatch than the standard Xiaomi Mi Band 7, and much more like something similar to the Huawei Watch Fit 2, users will be able to play around with a 1.64-inch AMOLED display that delivers 326ppi at 280 x 456 pixel resolution.
This is also up from the standard Xiaomi Smart Band 7 and its 192 x 490 pixel display, though both of these devices do handily feature an always-on screen.
The Pro model also boasts a built-in GPS, which users can employ to aid the 117 exercise modes, and plenty of health monitoring features, too, such as sleep tracking and VO2 Max estimates.
Battery life, as well, will be a big jump up from the regular model. Xiaomi says that the 235mAh battery will be able to provide 12 days of regular usage and six days of heavier use.
As ever, keep it locked to Wareable for the latest news from Xiaomi’s 12T series launch event. We’ll also be testing the wearable out when it doe eventually receives its full release.
