Windows 11’s rounded corners could be coming to Chrome

If you’re one of the people who still can’t see Windows 11 as being anything more than an OS facelift with the edges sanded off, ignore what’s coming next, because this entire article is going to focus on curved edges. Specifically, how Chrome appears to be gearing up to curve its own edges to match Windows 11’s round, globularly cornered aesthetic.
As spotted by the ever-swift Leopeva64-2 over on Reddit, there’s a patch in Chromium Garrit right now that reveals Chrome might soon have rounded context menus to match the vibe of Windows 11.
Naturally, nothing is guaranteed until you see it firsthand, but in the meantime, you can look forward to the notion of never again having to worry about papercuts on Chrome due to those contemptible right angles Big Tech™ was so fond of up until recently.
And it gets better. If you’re worried about Windows 11 being a disaster at launch and want to hold off on upgrading for a while, but still absolutely love the idea of rounded edges on Chrome, the same report above indicates you’ll be able to have them. Windows 10 users can have the round Chrome experience too, so long as Chromium Garrit isn’t lying to all of us.
The question now is, what other apps, browsers, and services will adapt to meet the stylistic rules of Windows 11? We’ve already seen in-house apps such a the new Snipping Tool bend (literally) to the visual mandates of the new operating system, but what third-party products are next?
