Microsoft is reportedly set to debut “Windows 10X” at their Surface event on October 2, which is likely an all-new Windows 10 based operating system specifically for folding devices.
For years now, Microsoft has been rumored to be working on hinged Surface tablets, based on various leaked patents. We’re expecting at least one of these devices to make its debut during the event, currently dubbed “Centaurus” by internal codename.
Windows 10X will reportedly be powering this new Surface, likely alongside various other folding tablets from various Windows OEM partners like Dell, HP, and so on. There have already been a few comments across social media and beyond about the branding choice for 10X.
If it is indeed true, we’d like to ask: what do you think of the name? Vote in our poll, hit the comments, let us know.
