In Dying Light 2 there’s no regenerative health. While you can use UV light sources to reset your immunity, your actual health won’t go back up without some assistance.
There are different methods to regaining health, including sleeping or sitting at a campfire. But when you’re out exploring you’ll need to rely on medicine.
You can buy medicine at vendors, you can find them out in the world, too. But really you’ll want to craft them and for that, you need the right materials. While the game tells you what you need, it doesn’t offer much guidance on where to find them. But when you know what to look for it’s really easy.

All you need to craft a basic medicine is honey and chamomile. That’s it. Hopefully, during the initial section with Spike, you gathered more than you needed at the time because it certainly gives you an advantage when you reach the city.
You can buy crafting materials at vendors but the best way to get hold of them is by gathering them up on your travels.

Most of the rooftops are empty, though. So to make your looting a little more efficient, look for rooftops with tall yellow trees on them. These signify the areas you’ll find the materials needed for medicine.

At each location you should find at least a couple of beehives, a handful of chamomile plants and an assortment of other goodies. Grab the lot, there’s no limit to how much you can carry and you’re going to need it all at some point.

To do this you’ll have to visit a craftmaster and use infected trophies gained from killing certain zombies.
So don’t shy away from combat. You never know when you’ll need the loot.
