What to expect: a list of phone launches until the end of March

The MWC was cancelled, which caused many plans to change, but that hasn’t slowed down the pace of new releases – we’re in for 10 or so busy days, here’s a handy list of all new smartphone launches coming by the end of March.

March 24 – Redmi K30 Pro

The Redmi K30 Pro will be unveiled this Tuesday. The company has already confirmed a flagship Snapdragon 865 chipset and has teased that a pop-up selfie camera will replace the punch hole. 5G connectivity is a given.

The 120Hz LCD will be switched out for a 60Hz AMOLED display from Samsung (the phone will have an in-display fingerprint reader, instead of a side-mounted one). We’ve been hearing that there will be two 64MP cameras on the back – one for wide-angle and one for telephoto shots. Here’s some unconfirmed pricing info too.

March 26 – Huawei P40 series

Huawei will unveil the P40, P40 Pro and P40 Premium this Thursday. We have a detailed “what to expect” article if you want to know more. Long story short, the Premium will have two zoom cameras, the Huawei P40 Pro just the one (early camera samples here).

The dual punch hole on the front will retain the 3D ToF sensor for secure authentication of payments. The Pro and Premium will use the curves of the screen to make bezels look as thin as possible. You don’t even have to ask, there will be no Google Mobile Services running on the phones.

March 26 – Realme Narzo 10 and 10A

The Realme Narzo 10 and Narzo 10A will be revealed on Thursday. They are expected to be rebranded Realme 6i and Realme C3 for India.

The duo has been available in China for a month now and in that time the Pro model managed to top DxOMark’s camera charts (the Oppo Find X2 Pro matched it since then). Anyway, we don’t know when the global sales will start, but the Mi 10 will be available in India on March 31 (the Pro model might skip the Indian market).

March 30 – Honor 30S

Days after the Huawei big dogs introduce themselves to the world, the Honor 30S will do the same on March 30 (next Monday). The 5G-connected mid-ranger will be the first to use the Kirin 820 chipset, which may prove faster than the Kirin 980 and Snapdragon 855 (at least in terms of CPU power).

It will have a fairly large 5,000mAh battery, according to TENAA, and a 6.3″ 1080p display. The dual camera on the back will feature a 13MP main module and a 2MP depth sensor.
