Week 37 in review: iPhone 13 series, new iPad mini, Watch Series 7 out

This week brought a bunch of major announcements. Starting with Infinix, which unveiled the Zero X, Zero X Pro and Z Neo. All three devices feature periscope cameras. We have a first look at the Zero X Pro and a review coming soon.

The bigger even by far, however, was Apple’s on Tuesday, which gave us the iPhone 13 series but also its next smartwatch and a new iPad mini.

The iPhone 13, 13 mini, 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max are out for pre-order now in the first wave of countries. The vanilla 13 series got a battery bump, brighter screens as well as access to last year’s sensor-shift stabilized main 12MP camera from the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max both got 120Hz LTPO screens with variable refresh support, new ultrawide cameras with autofocus, 3x optical zooms and brighter main camera lenses. All 13 series get the A15 Bionic 5nm chip.

The Apple Watch Series 7 packs a bigger display in the same body, is now dust proof and gets a chip and UI upgrade. It will arrive later this Fall.

The new iPad mini has thinner bezels, a flat-sided design, TouchID power button and a better display.

In another major even Xiaomi unveiled its 11T series, featuring the Xiaomi 11T, 11T Pro with 108MP cameras and 120Hz AMOLED display. They were joined by the 11T Lite NE (New Edition), while the Xiaomi Pad 5 began its global journey.
