Week 18 in review: Sony Xperia 1 V and Pixel 7a leak, Google shows off Pixel Fold

The Sony Xperia V’s design is now revealed, thanks to a billboard in Hong Kong. Not that we weren’t sure what the phone would look like, but it’s nice to see the triple color scheme – White, Black, and Green. The Xperia 1 V will become official on May 11.

Nothing teased the Phone (2), showing us a glimpse of what appears to be the phone’s back. There’s a red LED video recording indicator, like the one on the Phone (1), and what looks like a switch. The phone will pack a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1.

There were plenty of Google Pixel 7a leaks this week. Its specs got detailed, we saw a long video hands-on, a video teardown, and, for good measure – a teaser from Google itself. Expect a 90Hz display, 64MP main camera, a 13MP ultrawide, wireless charging, and a Tensor G2 chip – the phone is coming on May 11.

Google also formally confirmed the Pixel Fold through a quick video. Google didn’t say anything about the specs or the price, but we’re still happy with the high-quality 360 look we got.

Those were the highlights of the week. Stick around!
