We take another look at the Galaxy S21 FE vs the original non-FE model

What exactly set the Galaxy S21 FE and Galaxy S21 apart? We get this question a lot lately, for good reasons. The Galaxy S21 FE is a new phone, unveiled on January 11, and although not identical to the base Galaxy S21 model — which was unveiled in January 2021 — both phones look alike. They also share quite a few hardware components, and they reside in a similar.

The Galaxy S21 FE is a solid device next to the Galaxy S21, and it’s generally cheaper. It lacks some of the premium characteristics of the Galaxy S21 model, particularly in terms of build quality; however, it takes advantage of a larger battery, a telephoto sensor with 3x optical zoom, and newer firmware out of the box. All things considered, there’s always going to be a trade-off when choosing between these two phones.

The price really is one of the most important factors separating these two Samsung devices. And with various deals and discounts coming and going, their position in the food chain is changeable. The Galaxy S21 FE might make more sense today, but the Galaxy S21 could be a better deal tomorrow.
