We take a quick look at the Galaxy Z Fold 3 July update in a new video

Samsung’s most expensive premium smartphone, the Galaxy Z Fold 3, was among the first to receive the July 2022 security patch through a firmware update earlier this month. The update is now rolling out in more regions, and we’re taking a closer look at this release in a new video below.

The latest Galaxy Z Fold 3 update doesn’t really add anything new into the mix, aside from the July 2022 security patch. But improved security is always a welcomed addition, especially in this age of state-level cyberattacks. Samsung is working relentlessly to keep its devices secure, and monthly security patches are a key element in its strategy.

We briefly talked about the July 2022 security patch before. It fixes over 50 privacy and security vulnerabilities, three of which are critical. The update fixes security issues concerning Contacts storage, Knoxgurd lock, Samsung Finder, Wearable Manager Installer, the Messages app, and more.

For the Galaxy Z Fold 3, the latest update weighs around 265MB. As usual, you can download it after accessing “Software update,” followed by “Download and install” in the Settings app on your phone. You can also download the official firmware files from our website and install the update manually.
