One of the more interesting games launching in the near future is Scarlet Nexus, a Japanese action-RPG from Bandai Namco that blends genres to become something being referred to as “brain punk.” Scarlet Nexus is just around the corner, so Bandai Namco has dropped a new extended trailer that gives interested players an overview of the world inside Scarlet Nexus, and a peek at what they should expect from this anime and western sci-fi inspired mixture of cyberpunk and psychics.

Scarlet Nexus is an energetic, fast-paced action-RPG set in a futuristic Japan where psychic abilities and cybernetic enhancements are real. Play as one of two characters, each of which plays a crucial role in the story and with each other. In our Scarlet Nexus preview, our own Zackery Cuevas said, “Scarlet Nexus is brimming with potential, and I’m excited to see whether Scarlet Nexus’ Brain Punk future is worth getting lost in. It could very well be one of the best RPGs on the Xbox.”

Scarlet Nexus is releasing on June 25, 2021, on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xbox One, PS5, PS4, and PC. Scarlet Nexus does support Smart Delivery on Xbox, so you’ll always get the best version of the game for the console you’re playing on. There’s also a free demo available for Scarlet Nexus on Xbox, if you want to experience a slice of the game before committing to it.
