Was your Surface Laptop 3 or Surface Pro 7 preorder delayed?
Today marked the launch of Microsoft’s new Surface Pro 7 and Surface Laptop 3. While that means the devices were set to start hitting store shelves today, it also meant they were scheduled to start arriving for people who had preordered.
For some preorder customers, however, shipments may be delayed, if a Reddit post is to be believed. The poster claims UPS cited a communication issue with Microsoft, allegedly leading to thousands of Surface preorders being “stuck in limbo.” From the post:
I contacted the Microsoft Store and they informed me that there is currently a huge queue of people on support asking about the same thing and that many Surface Laptop 3 devices have not yet shipped and that I will not be receiving my shipment today along with thousands of other people.
We’ve reached out to Microsoft for comment and will update this post with more as it becomes available.
Launch days are sometimes messy affairs, and there are usually at least some buyers who report shipment issues with preorders. But we want to know: did your preorder arrive safe and sound today? Or are you still waiting on yours to arrive?
