Warcraft III: Reforged launches in January 2020
As you know, Warcraft III needs no introduction. It’s one of the best real-time strategy games ever made and revolutionized the genre back in 2002. Not only did it offer excellent combat and tactics, but it also told a touching story from different points of view. Developer Blizzard Entertainment isn’t working on a new game in the series, but the team is remastering Warcraft III for modern gaming rigs.
Last year at BlizzCon 2018, the remastered Warcraft III: Reforged was announced. Apart from providing cinematic trailers that detailed the story we all know, the gameplay footage which showcases crystal-clear visuals and other enhancements blew everyone away. Since then, everyone has been asking about a release date.
Today, the company revealed that Warcraft III: Reforged is set for release on January 29, 2020. The game includes the Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos and its award-winning expansion The Frozen Throne. According to a press release Windows Central received, Warcraft III: Reforged features seven single-player campaigns spanning over 60 missions, a top-to-bottom graphics and audio overhaul, and a full suite of contemporary matchmaking features through Battle.net.
Warcraft III: Reforged is now available for digital preorder from the Blizzard Shop. The standard edition costs £25, but the Spoilers of War Edition comes in at £35. This package includes unique hero skins for Arthas, Cenarius, Jaina, and Thrall. Also included with the Spoils of War Edition is a host of in-game bonuses for other Blizzard games that will unlock immediately when you preorder. For example, you’ll get the gruesome Meat Wagon mount for World of Warcraft, the Third War cardback for Hearthstone, and the Mal’ganis pet for Diablo III.
