vivo NEX 3 will have 99.6% screen-to-body ratio, product manager says
vivo will officially take the wraps off the NEX 3 on September 16, and the Chinese company has been teasing the upcoming device for a while now.
The NEX 3 is apparently going to have a 99.6% screen-to-body ratio, according to Li Xiang, who is vivo’s NEX product manager. He shared the intriguing info on Weibo, adding that the company has reached that percentage by applying the industry standard calculation method.
That said, he thinks that even if different methods are employed, while the number itself might be lower, the NEX 3 is still going to have the highest ever ratio, while the second place smartphone is quite far from it. Finally, he added that it’s very likely that no competitors will be able to match the NEX 3’s numbers within six months.
So it looks like the NEX 3 will be groundbreaking in its own right, just like its predecessors in the NEX line have been. The image above is a new teaser that Li Xiang shared along with his post. As you can see the side bezels are practically non existent, while the top and bottom ones are incredibly tiny.
According to past leaks, rumors, and teasers, the NEX 3 should sport a 6.89-inch AMOLED screen with an embedded fingerprint sensor, the Snapdragon 855+ chipset at the helm, up to 12GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, a 4,500 mAh battery with 44W fast charging, a 64 MP + 13 MP + 13 MP rear camera system, 16 MP dual pop-up selfie cams, as well as Android 9 Pie on board.
