Verizon Galaxy Note 20 owners, you’ve got Android 12 and One UI 4.0!

Samsung’s moving quickly in expanding access to the Android 12 and One UI 4.0 update for Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra owners. Samsung’s last flagship Note series has received the update in plenty of markets less than a week after the rollout first kicked off, and customers in the United States can now get in on the action.

Well, at least if they bought their Note 20 or Note 20 Ultra from Verizon, which has become the first carrier to roll out the anticipated update to these phones. The update comes with firmware version N981USQU2EULE and N986USQU2EULE for the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra respectively and the December 2021 security patch.

When will other US carriers release the update? When will unlocked units get it? Those are questions we cannot answer, but we can hope that the wait won’t be a long one. For now, Verizon Galaxy Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra owners can proceed to download Android 12 and One UI 4.0 from their phone’s Settings » Software update menu.

While the update downloads, do check out our One UI 4.0 hands-on video to find out all the new features and improvements you’re getting. Oh, and remember to backup all important data before you actually go ahead with installing Android 12 on your phone, given the mess Samsung made with the update for its more recent devices.

Thanks for the tip, Justin!
