US-unlocked Galaxy A53 5G picks up January 2023 security update

The international version of the Galaxy A53 5G (SM-A536E) received the January 2023 security patch last month. Today, the carrier-unlocked variant of the device for the US market (SM-A536U1) is also getting the latest security update.

The latest software update for the Galaxy A53 5G brings firmware A536U1UEU4BWA5. It packs January 2023 security patch which fixes more the fifty security vulnerabilities. The update is currently rolling out to the devices on AT&T, Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular South, Comcast, Cricket, Nextech, US Cellular, and Xfinity Mobile networks.

The other variants of the device should also get the latest update across the globe in the next few weeks. To make sure that you are running the latest firmware, go to Settings » Software update and click on the Download and install button. Alternatively, you can also download the update from our firmware section and install it manually.
