[Updated] Galaxy Buds and Buds+ get new firmware update for stability, security

It hasn’t been long since Samsung rolled out an update for the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds+. A couple of weeks back, the Galaxy Buds got some Buds+ goodies, while the newer model had its Ambient Sound feature improved with the previous release. Now the company is at it again, as both the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds+ are getting a new update to firmware version R17xXXU0ATF2.The firmware number is identical for both models and so is the changelog, but the size of the update is seemingly slightly different. It weighs 1.40MB on the Galaxy Buds and 1.32MB on the Galaxy Buds+. In both cases, the changelog only mentions that the update implements stability code for device security. To download the latest update for the Galaxy Buds and Galaxy Buds+, open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected smartphone and check if firmware version R175XXU0ATE3 is available for download. The update will reach more Buds and markets gradually, so even if it’s not waiting for you to download it right now, a notification should arrive sooner rather than later. Have you updated your wearables to this latest version? We haven’t found any other notable additions or changes, but feel free to drop a comment below and let us know if you have.Update: according to a Samsung community forum moderator (via @Kuma_Sleepy), the update at hand introduces new menus for blocking and managing connections with known and unknown devices.
