This 64GB Oculus Quest 2 VR headset is down to just $199 at Walmart

Even on Black Friday, one of the most popular virtual reality headsets around, the Oculus Quest 2, didn’t see a lot of great deals. You certainly weren’t going to find a direct price discount on any of the modern versions of the headset, although there was one nice deal that included a $50 gift card to spend on new games. If you just want to pay less for the system, then Walmart has the deal for you. This is the Oculus Quest 2 64GB headset, refurbished, and down to a low price of $199.

It is the same as the $299 128GB headset except that Oculus updated the default version to have twice the storage back in August. Walmart apparently still has a few of the 64GB versions to get rid of, so if you don’t mind the cut in storage you can also save $100. Also, despite being a refurb it is covered by a one-year warranty from Oculus much like a new device would be.

This is an interesting deal because it’s a modern Oculus Quest 2 but it’s one that was replaced with twice the storage several months ago. If you don’t mind taking the storage hit, the direct savings are the best you’re going to see on this headset.

Honestly, one of the most exciting things to come about from Facebook changing its name to Meta is the change in policy regarding the Oculus Quest 2. Soon enough when the device’s official name becomes Meta Quest, you won’t need a Facebook login to use it anymore. If you haven’t used Facebook since 2017 like me, then that’s a welcome change for getting into one of the best VR headsets around.

One of the things that makes the Oculus Quest 2 so good is that once you buy it, you can jump right into the action. Just play games right in the headset thanks to that internal storage. You could connect it to your PC with the Oculus Link cable, too. That gives you a couple of extra features including using your PC’s abilities to power your games.
