Third One UI 5.0 beta update is out for the Galaxy S21 in the UK and Korea!

Great news, Galaxy S21 users in the UK and South Korea! Samsung has started rolling out the third One UI 5.0 beta firmware for the 2021 flagship phones, and with it comes a handful of bug fixes.

One UI 5.0 beta 3 includes the October 2022 security patch, but more importantly, it addresses numerous crashes. Beta testers should no longer experience crashes when opening app folders, changing the wallpaper, or using the S Pen Air Command feature on the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Furthermore, with the third One UI 5.0 beta firmware, Galaxy S21 users should be able to return to the home screen (from the Widgets screen) without the screen freezing.

Object Eraser and haptic feedback issues have been addressed

An issue preventing the Object Eraser tool from working has been fixed, and the same goes for a bug that kept the haptic feedback motor from actuating upon using home screen gestures.

You may have noticed by now that the One UI 5.0 beta 3 update for the Galaxy S21 series in South Korea and the UK has the same changelog as the fourth beta update for the Galaxy S22 series. As such, at least one feature is now no longer available, namely, the Multi-User function.

Similarly, there are some known issues worth mentioning, such as connection issues with Remote Control and Teamviewer, and an error that displays the “Unable to open file” pop-up after receiving a file via QuickShare. You can refer to the screenshot below for the full changelog.

Samsung Members participating in the One UI 5.0 beta program in the UK and South Korea can identify the third beta update by firmware version ending in ZVJ3.
