Best Razer Mouse Windows Central 2020

Razer make some of the best gaming mice around so it’s natural that you’re considering one for your next purchase. But Razer also has a pretty large portfolio, so we’re going to help you choose the right one.

Staff Pick

Razer’s best-selling mouse ever finally has a sequel and that is a very good thing. The iconic design remains largely untouched, which means the DeathAdder V2 is ergonomic and comfortable to use, while also weighing a fair bit less this time around. Inside, Razer’s latest optical switches and Focus+ sensor mean it’s ready for some serious gaming.

The Basilisk V2 is another update to a legendary mouse, and if you’re into first-person shooters in particular then it’s the one to get. Inside it has the same Focus+ sensor and optical switches as Razer’s other new mice, but it’s the removable clutch that steals the show still. Pressing it slows down your DPI and makes aiming for that perfect headshot a little bit easier.

The standard Viper is an amazing gaming mouse, but for the Ultimate, Razer chopped off the cable, upgraded the switches to optical ones and slapped in the all-new Focus+ sensor. It’s still lightweight, the battery life is pretty good and it’s got onboard storage for up to five profiles so you can pop it in your bag and never have to worry about re-installing Synapse to use with other PCs.

The iconic Razer DeathAdder Elite is still sold despite its successor, and that also means its now available ridiculously cheap. Over 10 million of these have been sold, with the ergonomic design, 16,000 DPI optical sensor and 8 programmable buttons now being available at frankly, a steal. It’s impossible to do better for the current asking price of one of these.

Razer does a lot better than some at catering for left-handed gamers but its best mouse for left-handers is also amazing for right-handers. The Viper is designed in collaboration with professional gamers, is lightweight, incredibly fast and accurate and has a snag-free cable. It’s got programmable buttons on both sides, too, so it really doesn’t matter which hand you play with.

If you play a lot of MMOs you’ll be well looked after with the Naga Trinity thanks to the insane amount of programmable buttons at your disposal. Better still, the panel is interchangeable so you can have fewer buttons, or cut it down to just two and have a durable thumb grip instead. It’s comfortable to use and uses Razer’s 5G optical sensor with 16,000 DPI.

Some great mice to choose from

Razer’s mice are some of the best around and the company puts a lot of development time into making them the best. As we hit our 2020 stride, the newly released DeathAdder V2 takes the crown, albeit only by a whisker from the Basilisk V2.

Both are very similar in that they both have Razer’s latest optical switches and Focus+ sensor with all of its smart goodies. The DeathAdder just gets the nod, though, with a slightly nicer design and a lower price tag.

The predecessor, the DeathAdder Elite, is also still worth buying. This is a mouse that’s sold over 10 million units, has a very similar design to the new one, but can now be bought for a ridiculously low price that not only makes it Razer’s top budget pick, but probably the best budget mouse you can buy period.
