The Redmi Note 12 Pro+ will launch globally on January 5
It’s official – the global launch of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Pro+ is set for January 5. This is the first Redmi with a 200MP camera and only the second in the Xiaomi family after the 12T Pro.

Last week Xiaomi teased that the Redmi Note 12 series is launching in India soon, but didn’t give an exact date. It’s also not clear which models are coming – the Pro+ is a definitely on the list, the Redmi Note 12 and Redmi Note 12 Pro are yet to RSVP. There’s also the Redmi Note 12 Discovery, the version of the Pro+ with 210W charging, but that one may remain exclusive to China.
Xiaomi’s Redmi Note series has proven highly successful. It just crossed the 300 million units shipped mark, of those 72 million went to India. Anyway, the new models will certainly add to the tally, but we will have to wait a few weeks until we get details like prices and shipping dates. A staggered release is possible, it’s what happened with the Note 11 series earlier this year.

The Redmi Note 11 series went global on January 26 with the base model starting at $180 and the Note 11S at $250. The Redmi Note 11 Pro and Note 11 Pro 5G followed in mid-February at $300 and $330, respectively.
