The mysterious door opens in Borderlands 3 to a new raid boss next month
During the latest episode of The Borderlands Show fans finally learned what The Director’s Cut in Borderlands 3 will contain. One of the biggest reveals: Raid bosses are coming back! Hemovorous the Invincible is one badass varkid that’s located behind the locked door on Pandora. The 18-month mystery is over.
Hemovorous the Invincible follows in the footsteps of fellow varkid raid boss Vermivorous the Invincible, introduced in Borderlands 2. Make sure you’re prepared to face this raid boss because it will cost a whopping 500 Eridium each time you want to attempt the raid.
Aside from the raid, in The Director’s Cut players will join Ava on a new set of missions to document “supernatural slayings” for her podcast. Missions will be located on Pandora, Promethea, Eden-6, and Nekrotafeyo.
Vault Cards, which introduce daily and weekly challenges, along with more cosmetic packs are coming to Borderlands 3 too. The Multiverse Disciples of the Vault cosmetic pack shows us what our Vault Hunters would have looked like had they sided with the Children of the Vault.
It was also revealed that Tales from the Borderlands is coming back to storefronts. The episodic adventure from Telltale bridged the gap between Borderlands 2 and 3 but was delisted after the company was closed. It’s regarded by many as having some of the best writing in the series and it’s incredibly funny. Players will be able to purchase all five episodes in one package starting on February 17.
All of this information was further detailed in a blog post on Borderlands’ website.
