The Minecraft with RTX Beta on Windows 10 is getting new worlds

One of the most exciting developments recently in the Minecraft world is the addition of ray tracing, which completely overhauls how Minecraft looks, and makes the game feel more alive. The tech is currently in beta for the Windows 10 version (which you can learn about joining here) if you have a compatible NVIDIA RTX graphics card, and is very impressive. The second Beta Pack has been released now.

The Beta Pack #2 adds five new worlds from talented Minecraft creators, with more gameplay and ray tracing effects to show off. There’s also new textures that take better advantage of the tech. Mojang released a trailer video for the release, which compares the different maps with RTX ray tracing turned on and off. If you’re interested, you can watch it above, or go and ahead and check out the new worlds.

This is all part of Mojang’s efforts to make ray tracing in Minecraft completely natural, so that anyone with the hardware can witness the first proper official graphics overhaul Minecraft has ever had. I for one am very excited to watch this grow, and to try it out myself.

Have you tried ray tracing in Minecraft yet? What do you think about it? Let us know in the comments below!
