The HP Reverb G2 VR headset is back to its Black Friday price at $449

The HP Reverb G2 VR headset is one of our favorite Windows Mixed Reality headsets, and it was even refreshed in 2021 with some modern upgrades that didn’t result in a price hike, which means only good things for you. Today you can get the VR headset for just $449 through HP. While we did see a deal that brought it as low as $400 at one point, today’s price is the second best we’ve ever seen. Normally you’d have to pay for around $560 or more at places like B&H and Amazon. Only HP has the great deals on this headset, and this price never lasts very long. Get it while you can.

Cale Hunt gave the Reverb G2 4 stars out of 5 and a Recommended badge in his review. He said, “HP’s refresh of the Reverb G2 improves on what is already a great VR headset. Owners of the G2-V1 likely won’t find reason to upgrade, but for everyone else who’s been holding out, the time to invest might be now.”

HP actually worked with Valve, one of the leaders in virtual reality these days, to improve on this headset compared to previous generations. Beyond just improving the hardware in general, the collaboration has led to some other benefits. For example, you will have access to SteamVR in addition to Windows content. That gives you a wide range of games and other programs to choose from thanks to a much larger content library than normal.

The hardware itself includes a display with a combined pixel resolution of 4320 x 2160. The RGB stripe included with the LCD displays helps deal with the “screen door” effect. You also have an upgraded audio system that really helps to immerse you in the new worlds you’ll be exploring.
