The Division 2 getting new round of bug fixes and Dark Zone balancing
It’s been a busy week for Ubisoft’s Massive studio, launching Title Update 8 and Warlords of New York for The Division 2. While the expansion itself is excellent — as you can see in our review — the game has been plagued with bugs, some worse than others.
Having already pushed out one major fix earlier this week, Massive is taking the game offline again today from 09:30 CET for a planned three hours to push out a number of smaller fixes that should, hopefully, everything crossed, cover off the remaining points that players have raised this week.
Most are fairly minor, but still annoying, such as not being able to talk to control point officers or to Alani Kelso in Haven. These are both on the list to be fixed, as are issues preventing new skill mods to drop in Warlords of New York and the Bullet King from dropping after defeating the final boss in Riker’s missions.
Also coming with today’s patch is a balancing update to the Dark Zone. Loot quality in the Dark Zone was increased with Title Update 8, but changes to the game and its new heroic difficulty setting also affected the Dark Zone unintentionally. This has led to it “double-dipping” and having a higher tier of loot than intended.
So with this patch, the loot quality will be pegged back a little and will be on par with challenging difficulty missions. So it’s still pretty decent.
