The best gaming laptop from Lenovo is 20% off for Black Friday

Our collection of the best Black Friday gaming laptop deals includes quite a few options, but I would pass them all by to get to the Legion 5 Pro (Gen 6) with AMD hardware. It’s one of my favorite gaming laptop out there, and in my opinion it’s the best one Lenovo has to offer.

I reviewed the Lenovo Legion 5 Pro and gave it a Windows Central Recommended Award, noting particularly the superb display, smart port layout, excellent keyboard and touchpad, and stable, high-end gaming performance. This laptop is packed with features and doesn’t come cheap, but you can right now save $380 at Lenovo. That brings the total price down to $1,490.

One of the Legion 5 Pro’s best features is its display. Lenovo removed most of the chin below the screen by changing the aspect ratio to 16:10. It has a high-res 2560×1600 (QHD+) resolution, HDR 400 compatibility, Dolby Vision, NVIDIA G-Sync, a 165Hz refresh rate, and 500 nits brightness. I measured 100% sRGB color reproduction, which means your games are going to be smooth and gorgeous.

That 165Hz refresh rate can be hit with the powerful internal hardware. You’ll want to keep the laptop plugged in to get the most out of the Ryzen 7 5800H CPU, but it will truly deliver. Paired up with a NVIDIA RTX 3060 Laptop GPU, 16GB of dual-channel DDR4-3200MHz RAM, and a whopping 2TB of M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD storage, you’re going to have no issues crushing modern games. As you can see above, the Legion 5 Pro is one of the fastest laptops we’ve tested.

Ports are plentiful, with most along the back for easy cable management. There’s an e-shutter button mixed in to provide some extra privacy. The TrueStrike keyboard has four-zone RGB lighting and there’s a sizable Precision touchpad for when you’re not using an external gaming mouse.
