The B-Wing and TIE Defender are coming to Star Wars: Squadrons

Star Wars: Squadrons released back in October and while the developers have previously shared small updates adding neat cosmetics for players to enjoy, there’s even more on the way. Today, the developers at Motive Studio shared that several free updates are coming, including one that’ll add the Fostar Haven map from the prologue of the campaign to Fleet Battles and Dogfight, joining the list of current maps.

Additionally, two new starfighters are being added to the existing roster. The two new ships are the B-Wing and the TIE Defender, which are being added for the New Republic and Galactic Empire respectively.

The B-Wing is classified as a Bomber, while the TIE Defender is classified as a Fighter but both will come with some unique features and abilities that should shake up the existing balance of fights. Finally, custom matches are also on the way, so if you just want to set something up to play solely with a group of friends, you’ll be covered.

In our review, editor Russell Holly stated that Star Was: Squadrons is “Star Wars dogfighting at its finest, with a multiplayer fun that won’t quit.
