The 1.16.3 update for Minecraft: Java Edition is officially here
We reported on the Release Candidate for the 1.16.3 update a few days ago, and now it’s officially rolling out to the public for Minecraft: Java Edition. This is a very minor update that builds on top of the Nether Update, and fixes a handful of bugs that were present.
The changelog for fixes in the official 1.16.3 update includes:
- Giving an item and a gold ingot to a baby piglin and killing it duplicates the item
- Piglins, Piglin Brutes, Hoglins and Zoglins have trouble pathfinding to the player when attacking
It’s a simple update that tackles a few key issues, but doesn’t do much else. Keep in mind, this update is just for the Java Edition, so it isn’t releasing for the Bedrock Edition on other platforms.
Things are slow in the Minecraft universe right now ahead of the Minecraft Live event on October 3, 2020, where we’re expecting huge announcements for Minecraft and Minecraft Dungeons, including a possible teaser about the next update for Minecraft. Mark your calendars, because October 3 is going to be a big day for Minecraft fans.
