Teardown video shows what’s new inside Galaxy Z Flip 4

Just a few days after the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 4, its first teardown video appeared on the internet. The video showcases what’s inside the foldable smartphone and what’s new compared to its predecessor, the Galaxy Z Flip 3. The video is filled with some exciting bits.

The Galaxy Z Flip 4 teardown video from PBKReviews shows how well Samsung has put together its newest foldable phone. The front and rear of the phone’s exterior can be removed using a pry tool. After carefully removing them, you can remove the motherboard after disconnecting some flex cables and removing a few Philips screws.

The video shows how Samsung has changed the position of a few things compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 3. It also reveals that the Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a bigger battery and an additional mmWave 5G antenna. The primary camera sensor is also bigger. The front camera, earpiece, and batteries are held using an adhesive.

The South Korean firm has used a dual-sided motherboard with most of the phone’s chips, including RAM, Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, and storage. Graphite sheets cover the motherboard on both sides to help dissipate heat. The wireless charging coil and the NFC are placed on top of the main battery.

The subboard, which has the USB Type-C port, the microphone, and the loudspeaker, is connected to the main board using a flex cable. The loudspeaker seems to have some foam balls that make it seem louder than it actually is. The batteries can be removed after using isopropyl alcohol.
