TAG Heuer unveils Super Mario-themed limited edition of its Wear OS smartwatch

Swiss luxury watch maker TAG Heuer has announced a Super Mario limited edition version of its Wear OS-powered smartwatch, the TAG Heuer Connected. The watch will be available in a couple of days on July 15.

Only 2,000 units will be sold worldwide and they probably won’t be available for long. Plus, we should note that even the vanilla Connected watch starts at $1,800, this one will sell for $2,150 (before tax).

The watch has some familiar Mario symbols engraved into its bezel: a Super Mushroom at 3 o’clock, a pipe at 6 o’clock, a Super Star at 9 o’clock and, finally, the flagpole at 12 o’clock. These are meant to track your daily step goal and play matching animation when you hit each sub-goal.

The watch exterior is mostly black and red with brushed metal on the side. There’s the Mario M engraved into the crown on the side. And, of course, there are several Mario-themed watch faces pre-loaded:

The watch comes in a snazzy box with two wrist bands. The first is made out of black leather on red rubber, the second is a sporty version made of red rubber. Both have an M on the buckle.

Google Pay is supported.
