Star Wars: Squadrons goes up for preorder, runs at 4K on Xbox One X

Last week, the Microsoft Store accidentally leaked Star Wars: Squadrons for Xbox One and other platforms. It’s available for preorder right now, for only $40, and promises a single-player campaign, and more, without any microtransactions.

Master the art of starfighter combat in the authentic piloting experience. Buckle up and feel the adrenaline of first-person multiplayer space dogfights alongside your squadron. Pilots who enlist will step into the cockpits of starfighters from both the New Republic and Imperial fleets and fight in strategic five vs. five space battles.
Better yet, modify your starfighter and adjust the composition of your squadron to suit varying playstyles and crush the opposition. Pilots will triumph as a team and complete tactical objectives across known and never-before-seen battlefields, including the gas giant of Yavin Prime and the shattered moon of Galitan.

According to the Microsoft Store, the game runs at 4K resolution on Xbox One X. It’s unclear what the frame rate is as of now, but given other Star Wars games, expect it to run at 60 frames per second (FPS) or feature a 60 FPS option. We’ll keep you posted as soon as we know more. The game’s launching in October 2020.
