Soup Pot shows off more tasty in-game footage during Day of the Devs

As part of E3 2021, Day of the Devs lets a ton of talented indie developers show off what they’ve been working on. There were a ton of interesting games during Day of the Devs, but one of the titles that stood out is Soup Pot, a gorgeous-looking cooking game that lets players run amok with their creativity and over 100 different recipes. A member of the developer, Chikon Club, took some time to show off more of the features and mechanics of Soup Pot in a new trailer, which you can watch below.

Soup Pot was initially revealed during the ID@Xbox March 2020 event and it caught our attention then and held it until now. Soup Pot focuses on unleashing creativity, and lets players experiment and practice as much as they want when cooking their recipes. There are no “fail states,” so the game is forgiving if a recipe doesn’t turn out perfect the first time. And it all revolves around the in-game social media platform, Cookbook.

Thanks to the complexities of food science, it isn’t easy to make a comprehensive cooking game, but Chikon Club looks poised to pull it off with Soup Pot. If you’re interested in Soup Pot, the game is heading to Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and PC through Steam sometime in Fall 2021. At the moment, there’s no word of Xbox One support or Xbox Game Pass availability.

Soup Pot could very well end up being one of the best ID@Xbox games when it launches later this year.
