Sony Xperia 10 III (Mark 3) renders leak – little change in design

It looks like we have our first look at one of Sony’s 2021 smartphone mid-rangers. Steve Hemmerstoffer (@onleaks), who has an impeccable record when it comes to early CAD renders, has published the first images of what is believed to be the Xperia 10 III (Mk3). Sony is looking to continue with its 21:9 design language seen over the last couple of years, as the Xperia 10 III design looks almost identical to that of its predecessor, the Xperia 10 II.

The positives is that once again there is no notch or hole punch in the 6-inch display, which is something we applaud. We can’t be the only ones who abhors these more ‘modern’ recent design trends – give us a cleaner front any day – the small bezels don’t bother us. It’s also great to see the 3.5mm headphone jack, we’re hoping Sony carries this forward to the 2021 flagships too, in line with last year.

Steve puts the dimension of this device at 154 x 68 x 8.3 mm, which is very similar to the Xperia 10 II (157 x 69 x 8.2 mm). Other similarities include the side mounted fingerprint sensor with integrated power button, a triple rear camera array and dual stereo front facing speakers.

It looks like some of the key differences will be under the hood, such as chipset, storage, memory and camera sensors. We would expect a reveal later this spring, and will keep you updated on any further news.

Thanks Diogo, Moses and Silv.Pascal A.S!
