Shadow Man for Nintendo 64 is being remastered for Xbox One

Shadow Man was a unique action-adventure game originally developed by Acclaim Studios for the N64, and was later brought to PC, the original Playstation, and even the Dreamcast back in 1999. Nightdive Studios recoved the title and re-released it in 2014, and now they’re back again, with intentions to fully remaster the classic game with modern technologies. Shadow Man Remastered will come in 2021 for the PC on GOG, Xbox One, Playstation 4, and Nintendo Switch.

The remaster adds support for 4K resolutions, HDR, anti-aliasing, and a whole host of other features including refined art, audio, and textures. The remastered game should also include content cut from the original game, expanding on what Shadow Man already offered. Of course, the game will also add support for the controllers for each respective platform it’ll be released on, making it easy to jump in and play.

Nightdive Studios is responsible for a ton of remastered classic games, including System Shock, Turok and Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, and more. The remaster was also announced alongside a new comic series revolving around Shadow Man that’s coming much earlier, on May 20, 2020. If the remaster is done well, this could be a fantastic way for fans of the original to enjoy it again with modern amenities, as well as new gamers to witness a gem from the late 1990’s.

For those of you who don’t know, Shadow Man is a supernatural action-adventure game revolving around a hero that protects the world from an army of demons lurking in a sinister place known as Deadside.
