See Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and more remade in Halo 5 Forge

Recently, the Xbox Series S, the less powerful but more affordable alternative to the beastly Xbox Series X, was revealed by Microsoft following a leak.

As the news about the new console spread far and wide, one fan in particular, YukiKage got inspired to recreate it using Halo 5‘s revolutionary Forge level editor. And shockingly, less than 24 hours after the reveal of the Xbox Series S, YukiKage posted a photo of their masterpiece.

In addition to the Xbox Series S, complete with its slim profile, white sheen, and black vent, YukiKage also created several other Xbox devices. The Xbox Series X, the Xbox One X, and the original Xbox One console are all present, and all recreated with impressive accuracy. Also, an Xbox Series X controller rests in front of the Xbox Series S, with triggers, buttons, thumbsticks, and the iconic power button.

What I find the most impressive about this project is that YukiKage was able to do it in just one night. It’s not easy to do recreation projects like these in Forge, even with the mode’s intuitive creation tools. On top of that, it’s crazy how accurate all of the Forged devices are. YukiKage managed to perfectly recreate every single edge detail, style decal, and color variation on all of the consoles. The controller looks great too considering it’s extremely difficult to try and make complicated curved objects in the blocky world of Forge.

Projects like this also get me hyped to see what Halo Infinite‘s Forge mode will be like. People are still finding ways to blow our minds with Halo 5’s Forge five years later, and it’s exciting to think that Halo Infinite’s Forge mode will most likely unlock even more possibilities thanks to the capabilities of next-gen consoles like the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S.

What do you think of these recreations? Are you impressed by how quickly YukiKage managed to complete them? Both the Xbox Series X and the Xbox Series S are expected to launch on November 10, 2020. Halo Infinite isn’t coming until 2021, but you can pick up Halo 5 if you want get creative with Forge.
