Sea of Thieves continues to grow with the team at Rare providing content updates and additions. Now, as part of Gamescom, Rare has shared that Sea of Thieves is getting dogs in the next update. Cats joined as pets earlier this year and now anyone who wants a dog will also be covered. Like with cats, there will be various breeds of dogs to choose from.

This update will arrive at some point in September. Joe Neate, Producer at Rare, talked with IGN about Sea of Thieves, saying that currently “20 to 30%” of the audience comes from Steam. Neate also says that there are “huge plans” for the future of the game and that the next year is the “biggest one yet” with big surprises in store.
