The Intel Gamer Days sale ends this weekend, so you’re quickly approaching your last opportunity to get in on these huge price drops and free video games. Many of the other deals we’ve shared are still live, so if you’re looking for a new laptop or a gaming desktop with RTX graphics be sure to check those out.
If you’re just looking for a PC upgrade without buying a whole new machine, Intel has deals for that, too. For example, on Newegg right now you can get the Intel Core i7-10700K desktop processor on sale for $269.99 when you apply code GMEDAYS35 during checkout. That’s in addition to a price that has discounted it from $320, so you’re really saving about $50 total here. And with the Intel Gamer Days sale, you’ll also get two free games (Humankind and the Crysis Remastered Trilogy). Put your new CPU through its paces with those. You can find this discounted deal price at Amazon, but that sale doesn’t include the two free games as far as I can tell.
The Core i7-10700K isn’t the only Intel processor on sale, although I do think it offers the best value. You can also get the Intel Core i9-11900K CPU on sale for $519.99 with the code GMEDAYS36 at Newegg. The code GMEDAYS37 works on the Intel Core i7-11700K to bring it down to $359.98 from around $400. Both deals include the Intel Gamer Days two free games promotion. Seems like now is as good a time as any to upgrade your processor.
This is a fantastic processor if you need a starting point for a new PC. It’s a cost effective option, especially with today’s deal, and it’s fast and powerful. But, as the great LeVar Burton would say, you don’t have to take my word for it! Read our review that gave it 4 out of 5 stars and a Recommended badge.
Rich Edmonds said this processor, “like most modern processors, is extremely good. Gone are the days where you’d need to go with the highest-grade CPU to get the most out of your PC… The Core i7-10700K is a serious processor for serious workloads.”
This is part of Intel’s 10th-generation lineup, and the CPU is capable of up to 5.3GHz clock speeds using Intel Turbo Max 3.0. It also has Thermal Velocity boost tech with new overclocking controls that help you get the most out of it. Uses Intel’s proprietary Hyper Threading technology for multi-tasking as well.
