Samsung’s Smart Monitor M8 to be available in South Korea more widely starting tomorrow

The demand for monitors jumped in 2020, following the COVID-19 pandemic and work/study-from-home norms. Keeping that demand in mind, Samsung launched its Smart Monitor lineup in 2020 that allowed users to work, study, and entertain using a single device. A few weeks ago, the company had unveiled a new monitor in the lineup: Smart Monitor M8.
Samsung has announced that it has launched the Smart Monitor M8 in South Korea. The 32-inch version of the monitor is priced at KRW 850,000 (around $691) and has been available exclusively through Kakao since March 7. Starting tomorrow, the Smart Monitor M8 will be available through various online and offline stores across South Korea.
The Smart Monitor M8 is a 4K monitor that uses a QLED display with HDR10+ video playback and 99% of the sRGB color gamut. It even features 2.2-channel stereo speakers and supports Adaptive Sound+. It has an Eye Saver technology that offers flicker-free viewing. The monitor has a slim profile (11.3mm) and a height-adjustable stand that supports tilt function.
It runs Tizen OS and can run all the popular audio and video streaming services. It even features Bixby, SmartThings IoT Hub, and Samsung Health. It even comes bundled with a remote controller. It features Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 5, Wireless DeX, and Apple AirPlay 2. The Smart Monitor M8 has a detachable SlimFit Cam that supports Auto Zoom and Face Tracking features for video conferencing.
Samsung’s new monitor received the ‘CES 2022 Innovation Awards Honoree’ award by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) at CES 2022 earlier this year. Check out our hands-on video of the Smart Monitor M8 in the video below.
