Samsung’s latest security update rolling out to the OG Galaxy Fold

Samsung has released the July 2022 security update to the Galaxy Fold in India and Sri Lanka. The Galaxy Z Fold 2 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 have already received Samsung’s latest security updates.

The latest software update for the Galaxy Fold (SM-F900F) has firmware version F900FXXS6HVG3. The update comes with the July 2022 security patch that fixes over 50 privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. It also includes general bug fixes and device stability improvements.

If you are a Galaxy Fold user in any of the countries mentioned above, you can download the new software on your phone by heading to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.

Samsung launched the original Galaxy Fold with Android 9-based One UI 2.5 software. It received the Android 10 update in early 2020, the Android 11 update in early 2021, and the Android 12-based One UI 4 update in early 2022.
