Samsung’s latest foldables start getting November 2021 security update in the US

Samsung released the November 2021 security update to the international variants of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 last week. Now, the company has released the security patch to the carrier-locked and unlocked variants of the foldable smartphones in the US.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3’s carrier-locked version is getting the update bearing firmware version F711USQS2AUJ6, while the firmware version for the unlocked variant is F711U1UES2AUJ7. The Galaxy Z Fold 3’s update comes with firmware version F926USQS1AUJ6 for the carrier-locked version and F926U1UES1AUJ7 for the unlocked version.

This new update includes the November 2021 security patch that fixes dozens of privacy and security-related vulnerabilities. The new software might also contain general bug fixes and device stability improvements. The update is currently rolling out on almost all major carrier networks in the US.

If you are a Galaxy Z Flip 3 or Galaxy Z Fold 3 user in the US, you can check for the latest software update by navigating to Settings » Software update and tapping on Download and install. You can also download the latest firmware file from our database and flash it manually.
