Samsung’s bringing affordable 90Hz to the Netherlands with Galaxy M22

The Galaxy M22 debuted in Germany last month, and of course, Samsung will eventually release its new low-cost phone to neighboring European countries. In fact, the company announced over the weekend that the Galaxy M22 is coming to the Netherlands this month for the suggested retail price of €239.

More specifically, Samsung confirmed that the Galaxy M22 will be available in the Netherlands from mid-October. There’s no exact date attached to the official announcement, but the phone should hit the shelves in the next couple of weeks at most.

“A device that excels at an accessible price”

This is one way to describe the new Galaxy M22, according to Gerben van Walt Meijer, Marketing Manager at Samsung Netherlands.

At €239, the Galaxy M22 is one of the most affordable smartphones on the market to feature a high refresh rate display. The M22 is equipped with a 6.4-inch HD+ AMOLED panel with a high refresh rate of 90Hz.

It’s powered by the Mediatek Helio G80 chipset, a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging capabilities (25W wall charger sold separately), and has 4GB of RAM along with 128GB of built-in expandable storage.

And although Samsung removed the 3.5mm audio port from the costlier Galaxy M52 5G released last month, the Galaxy M22 retains this basic feature. Seeing how Samsung’s moving further away from the 3.5mm port every year, the unannounced / unofficial Galaxy M23 sequel might do away with it, but let’s not get ahead of ourselves. The Galaxy M22 is as fresh as it can be, and it’s a fairly complete package for the price.
