Samsung’s 500GB T7 portable SSD has dropped to $70 for one day only

The Samsung T7 500GB portable solid state drive has dropped to $69.99 through the Newegg store. You’ll have to use the code 93XSK85 during checkout to get it that low. The same drive has dropped to $80 at other retailers like Amazon, but only Newegg has that extra little bonus discount. The drive normally sells for around $95 or more, so this is definitely a great price and one of the lowest we’ve ever seen. The deal is a Newegg Shell Shocker, which means it’s extremely temporary and won’t be around tomorrow.

Use code 93XSK85 during checkout to take off an extra $10 from the already discounted price. The T7 is a super fast portable drive with read and write speeds of 1,050 Mb/s and 1,000 MB/s respectively when using USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports. Is shock resistant, can survive being dropped, and has advanced heat control with dynamic thermal guard tech.

$69.99 at Newegg

When we reviewed the Samsung T7 last October, we gave it 4.5 stars out of 5 and a Recommended badge. Richard Devine said, “The real benefit to the T7 is its size… it weighs only 58 grams and literally fits inside any pocket. It’s beyond convenient to carry about, and it’s also plenty tough enough.”

In addition to the 500GB capacity, you get read and write speeds of up to 1,050 MB/s and 1,000 MB/s respectively. Compared to the previous-generation T5 portable SSD that’s nearly double the speeds. Maximize the speeds you get by using the T7 with a USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, otherwise it might not quite be that fast. The SSD is still backwards compatible with older ports, and the reliability stays solid no matter what.

When it comes to durability, you’ll find the T7 is shock and drop resistant. It can bounce around in your backpack or purse with no issues. You can take it with you anywhere you go. It also has a dynamic thermal guard that helps keep it cool and protects your data while it’s in use.

You’ll get both a USB-C to USB-C cable and a USB-C to USB-A cable so you can make this SSD work with a variety of ports.
