Samsung Wearable app confirms “Galaxy Watch 3” and the new bean-shaped Buds

Just Monday, Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 3 was inadvertently confirmed by Samsung itself when its support pages briefly went online. We now get the official branding of the Galaxy Watch 3 from images discovered within the Samsung Wearable app. This is the app that interfaces with all of Samsung’s earbuds and smartwatches.

Samsung is skipping the Galaxy Watch “2” altogether. This is perhaps due to the existence of the Galaxy Watch Active 2, and Samsung’s desire to focus on a new generation of smartwatches. The same name was confirmed in the NBTC certification from a couple of days ago.

According to FCC filings, there are Bluetooth + Wi-Fi and LTE variants, both coming in 41mm and 45mm sizes. It’s believed that Samsung may bring back the rotating bezel to the Galaxy Watch 3 along with a Gorilla Glass DX display.

Another image has appeared in the Wearable app as well. This one looks like the bean-shaped Galaxy Buds that we’ve seen rumors and leaks about in the past few months. Although the app mentions a string that calls them “buds_live”, It’s believed that Samsung will go with “Galaxy BudsX” based on previous filings of trademarks for the name.

Given the timing of these leaks, we might suppose that Samsung will launch the two new wearables soon, but there’s also a change we might have to wait until Samsung’s Unpacked event for the Galaxy Note20 in August.
