Samsung T7 Shield 4TB SSD is now available in the US

Two weeks ago, Samsung introduced the 4TB version of the T7 Shield portable SSD. Earlier, the company used to offer 1TB and 2TB storage capacities. The Samsung T7 Shield SSD is a credit-card-sized SSD that is meant for people who are on the move, such as content creators or travelers.

The Shield T7 SSD supports Android, Windows, macOS, iOS, and iPadOS, along with various other devices. Some other features of the Samsung Shield T7 SSD include an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance, drop resistance at up to 3 meters, a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port, and read and write speeds of up to 1,050 Mbps and 1,000 Mbps, respectively. It can be bought in beige, black, and blue colors.

The compact size of the Shield T7 SSD makes it easily carryable, and you can even save hours of video at up to 12K resolution. It can breeze past creator tasks such as video recording, editing, and rendering without impacting performance. The Dynamic Thermal Guard protects the SSD from overheating when performing resource-intensive tasks.

Although the Shield T7 4TB SSD lacks a fingerprint scanner, it has password protection. There is AES 256-bit encryption, and it weighs a mere 98 grams.

The Shield T7 SSD with 4 TB of storage is available for EUR 429.90 in Europe. While the price of the SSD was announced for Germany, US users were not made aware of the pricing of this rugged SSD from Samsung. Well, the wait is finally over. The Samsung T7 Shield 4TB SSD can be purchased for $429.99. In fact, you can buy the SSD for 5% less on Amazon, which brings the price down to $409.
