Samsung starts accepting pre-reservations for The Freestyle projector in India

Samsung had unveiled The Freestyle portable projector at CES 2022 earlier this year. While it was available for pre-order in South Korea and the US right after its announcement, the Indian audience wasn’t so lucky. But the wait is over now as the South Korean firm has started accepting pre-registrations for the device in India.

The Freestyle is listed on Samsung India’s website, and the company has mentioned that it’s “coming soon.” By paying INR 2,000 from March 18 to March 22, you can pre-register yourself to be in line to get the projector, and you can get INR 4,000 off on the final purchase. The company has still not announced the pricing of The Freestyle, but we expect it to be priced upwards of INR 70,000 in India.

Samsung’s new portable projector has a 180-degree design, which means that you can easily turn its lens to play on any wall in your home. It even features autofocus and automatic keystone corrections, which means you don’t need to worry about having a leveled surface. It can offer up to 100-inch picture size with up to Full HD resolution, wide color gamut, HDR10, and HLG. It supports screen mirroring and casting via Android and iOS devices.

With the SmartThings app, you can calibrate The Freestyle’s colors and brightness for the best possible picture quality as per your surroundings. It has a built-in 360-degree loudspeaker setup with 5W RMS audio output and support for Dolby Audio and dual wireless audio connections. It’s so small that you can carry it in your average backpack.

It runs Tizen OS and has access to all the audio and video streaming apps available on the company’s smart TVs. It even features Wi-Fi 5, Bluetooth 5.2, HDMI (with CEC), and USB Type-C connectivity. It features Alexa, Bixby, and dual far-field mics, which means that you can play your favorite tunes or video without having to press a single button.
