Samsung launches Galaxy S23 in Lime color in India

A few days ago, Samsung teased the launch of the Lime version of the Galaxy S23 in India. Today, the company announced it will be available in the country starting tomorrow (May 16, 2023) from 12 PM. While the company hasn’t revealed its pricing yet, it is expected to cost similar to other color variants of the Galaxy S23.

The Galaxy S23 costs INR 74,999 in India for the 128GB version and INR 79,999 for the 256GB version. Currently, the phone is available in four colors: Cream, Green, Lavender, and Phanto, Black. Lime will be the phone’s fifth color option in India. It is unclear if the Galaxy S23+ will also get the Lime version in India.

For the first time, Samsung launched online-exclusive colors of a Galaxy S series smartphone in India, starting with the Galaxy S23 Ultra. On top of the standard color options (Cream, Green, and Phantom Black), the flagship phone is available in Graphite, Lime, Red, and Sky Blue colors from Samsung’s website.

Galaxy S23 specifications and features

The Galaxy S23 features a 6.1-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen with Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz variable refresh rate, and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. It has a 50MP primary camera with OIS, a 12MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom and OIS, a 12MP ultrawide camera, and a 12MP selfie camera with autofocus. All its cameras can record 4K 60fps videos, while the primary camera goes as high as 8K 30fps.

The phone has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 For Galaxy processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB storage. It has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint reader, GPS, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.3, NFC, USB Type-C port, stereo speakers, and an IP68 dust and water resistance rating. It has Samsung Pay, Samsung DeX, and Samsung Knox.

The phone is powered by a 3,900mAh battery with 25W fast charging, 15W fast wireless charging, and 4.5W reverse wireless charging. The phone runs Android 13 out of the box and will get four major Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
